How is going Realtalk? This is your boy B-Money the one and only coming to you on Mexican Independence Day weekend. It's been a while since I've posted anything of relevance on here, but I'd have to say this is a pretty relevant evening. Tonight is The One. Tonight, the biggest boxing event of the year, in what has been the biggest year in the sport of boxing in over a decade, will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Undefeated pound for pound champion Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr will take on Mexico's rising young superstar, undefeated super welterweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Yours truly will be viewing this event at Miami Mike's Sports Zone in East Hanover. Miami Mike's Sports Zone has become a worthy staple for PPV boxing shows. I've gone there for some of the biggest boxing events in the last six years, including De la hoya vs. Mayweather, Mayweather vs. Hatton, De la hoya vs. Pacquiao, Pacquiao vs. Hatton, Mayweather vs. Cotto, and many others.
As you know, I was in Las Vegas for Floyd's last fight when he won a unanimous decision over Robert Guerrero. The experience was electric, but Miami Mike's is a decent alternative for watching a big PPV fight when I'm not in Las Vegas. Also on the card, undefeated super lightweight champion Danny Garcia will defend his title against hard-punching Lucas Matthysse.

Boxing fans have been looking forward to Mayweather vs. Canelo for over a year now. It's the richest fight in boxing since Mayweather fought Oscar De la hoya in May of 2007. On paper at least, Canelo seems to have the best chance of threatening Mayweather in the ring since De la hoya. Yours truly is looking forward to seeing "The One" later this evening at Miami Mike's Sports Zone. The fight will be televised on Showtime PPV. The card is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and Mayweather Promotions. May the best man win!
