Taxes are done and Boston is getting closer!

Saturday, March 03, 2012 // by REALTALK

Last night after work, I finally got around to filing my taxes for 2011.  Within hours of filing, both my federal and state tax returns were approved.  Needless to say, B-Money is getting a pretty nice return this year as well. It will go right into my bank account via direct deposit, probably just in time for the Boston trip on St. Patrick's Day weekend.

Obviously I'm not going to be spending all of that money in Boston like an irresponsible idiot (hardly any of it; most of it is going into my savings account), but it is nice to have a considerable amount of money coming my way heading into a fun trip like the one we are going to have. We are going to make sure that Ray, who turns 30 years old on St. Patrick's Day, has an outstanding time and a fun weekend to remember.

On the evening of Thursday March 15, Beanie and I will be driving down to Princeton to spend the evening at Mike's condo. We'll be enjoying a nice St. Patrick's Day weekend pregame that night, as we head up to New Brunswick for a couple drinks at Harvest Moon.  During my time as an adjudicator in the New Brunswick office, Harvest Moon has truly become a staple for happy hours on Friday afternoons as well as the occasional week night. Mike and I have come to love that place. Excellent micro brewery, known for brewing beers such as Jimmy D's Firehouse Red, Columbus Day IPA, and my newest favorite Siberian Express Imperial Stout, which they serve in a snifter.

A trip to Harvest Moon with be the ideal way to begin our St. Patrick's Day weekend in Boston.
